TOUR OF ICONIC CIVIL RIGHTS SITES

“Walking the Way: Following in the Footsteps of Our Black Catholic Foremothers in Faith”

May 2-7, 2024

FutureChurch is offering a once in a lifetime pilgrimage to iconic Civil Rights sites and the places where Black Catholic women struggled for racial justice and  freedom. Participants will travel through five cities – Atlanta, Birmingham, Montgomery, Selma, and New Orleans learning about the lives of Sr. Antona Ebo, Venerable Henriette Delille, Mary Louise Smith, and many more courageous leaders.

Civil Rights museums and other iconic stops will be visited to learn more about the history of this nation and the many prophets who fought for an end to slavery, segregation, and racism in all its forms while forging new paths for voting rights, education, and economic, social, and political justice.

Loyola Marymount’s Dr. Kim Harris will serve as educational and spiritual leader and Kayla August will serve as our guest preacher.

A limited number of scholarships are available.
